What does the error message “Invalid S/L or T/P” mean when I try to set up Stop Loss/Take Profit levels?
There can be two reasons for this message:
- You are trying to put Stop Loss or Take Profit levels inside Limit & Stop levels, which is a different function. (See question ‘What is Limit & Stop levels?’ for more information.)
- You are trying to put the Stop Loss or Take Profit level on the wrong side.
- If you add Stop Loss level for a Sell order, then you need to put Stop Loss above the current price.
- If you add Stop Loss level for a Buy order, then you need to put Stop Loss below the current price.
- If you add Take Profit level for a Sell order, then you need to put Take Profit below the current price.
- And if you add Take Profit level for a Buy order, then you need to put Take Profit above the current price.
