What types of charts are there in MetaTrader 4?
In MT4 you can build up to three types of charts:
- Linear — closing prices are interconnected with a straight line.
- Bars — the graph consists of bars, each representing the maximum price high (upper point of the bar), the minimum price low (lower point of the bar), opening price open (dash to the left of the vertical bar) and the closing price close (dash to the right of the vertical bar) for a given period of time (e.g. one hour).
- Candle charts (also known as Japanese candlestick charts) — quite like a bar chart, a candle chart is formed by four prices — maximum, minimum, open and close.
